As a Nurse Practitioner trained in Family Medicine, Menopause, Heart Disease and Testosterone Therapy, Judy offers a range of services tailored to help women navigate this significant life stage.
These services may include comprehensive consultations to discuss symptoms and concerns related to menopause, personalized treatment plans utilizing hormone therapy or other medications to manage symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, and mood changes, as well as guidance on lifestyle modifications like diet and exercise to promote overall well-being during this transition.
Additionally, Judy provides education and support to empower women with the knowledge and resources needed to effectively manage menopausal symptoms and improve their quality of life.

Judy has worked with The Stratford Family Health Team to open an OHIP-covered Menopause Clinic to all residents and referring providers located in Huron-Perth Area.
In these visits wediscuss your bothersome symptoms and complete a midlife health and routine screening review with a focus on heart, breast, bone and cervical health.
Lifestyle, supplement, and medication (hormonal and non-hormonal) treatment options are reviewed and we prescribe what is right for you. We will also follow-up with you to assess how your therapy is going and make any adjustments needed.
Please note that Testosterone Therapy is not covered in this clinic. Please see the Female Sexual Dysfunction service section below.
We prefer a referral from your Primary Care Provider although this is not required.

While Judy works with policy makers to improve access to Nurse Practitioner healthcare, she has opened a private practice so women outside of Huron-Perth can still access her care.
In this 45-60 minute virtual visit, we go beyond hormone therapy to discuss treatment options for your bothersome symptoms and complete a midlife health review with a focus on common diseases that affect women in their later years.
Lifestyle, supplement, and medication (hormonal and non-hormonal) treatment options are reviewed and Judy prescribes what is right for you indicated and you so choose. She also follow-up with you to assess how your therapy and plan is going and make adjustments as indicated.
Please note that Testosterone Therapy IS NOT covered in these consultations as that is a whole other assessment and discussion. Please see the Female Sexual Dysfunction service section below.

A new onset of absent or low libido is common in menopausal women. There are are treatments for this, and in some cases, testosterone deficiency is the cause.
Judy has trained with the Harvard School of Medicine on Sexual Dysfunction. She offers guideline- and evidence-based care for low libido, which may include testosterone therapy.
In this one-hour virtual visit, your symptoms will be assessed to determine which treatment(s) is right for you.
Judy will ask you to complete some bloodwork and questionnaires before your visit.

Managing headaches includes much more than taking medications.
Judy works with you to develop an individualized plan for avoiding and managing headaches that includes lifestyle management, medications and/or supplements.Where indicated, Judy also administers Botox for migraines. She has completed Headache medicine and Botox for Migraine Protocol training with the Canadian Headache Society and Abbvie/Allergan Canada.
Many employers offer benefits packages that cover some or all of this care. It’s best to check with your Human Resources Department.

Insomnia is a common condition that significantly affects quality of life, productivity, and performance.
CBT-i is the first line and safest treatment for chronic insomnia. It focuses on improving our behaviours around sleep.
CBT-i is different than sleep hygiene. Both are addressed in therapy with Judy and therapy is usually completed in 6-8 sessions.
Judy has studied at Queen’s University to provide this care. Although it is the best and safe treatment for insomnia,
Many employers offer benefits packages that cover some/all of this therapy though so check with your Human Resources Department.
You do not need a referral to work with Judy.

In this virtual visit, we will review your bloodwork, assess your bothersome symptoms and eligibility for testosterone replacement therapy. We will also assess your lifestyle and make recommendations for how you can further optimize your health.
Judy has trained with the Harvard School of Medicine to offer evidence-based testosterone therapy where medically indicated.
Please note you must be at least 35 years old to be eligible for this care with Judy.
$75 - Initial screening with bloodwork and questionnaire.
$175 - Virtual/phone consultation, care plan with prescription if eligible.
$125 - Follow-up Visits, Annual Visits: reassessment and treatment plan review, prescription updates/refills.

Teeth-grinding (medically termed bruxism) can cause chronic jaw pain and damage to the tooth enamel.
There are many ways to treat bruxism including mouth guards, physiotherapy, and Botox.
Judy is trained in the administration of Botox for bruxism, to prevent jaw pain and enamel damage. This treatment is typically required every 3-6 months.
These visits and medication costs may be covered by your employer’s benefits.
